Woof or…? How do animals “talk” in Chinese

Animals speak too! And it seems they too speak different languages in different countries. For example, do you know dogs (狗 gǒu) in China say 汪汪 (wāng wāng) instead of woof? Therefore, we say:

  • xiǎogǒu wāng wāng jiào .
  • 小狗汪汪叫.
  • The little dog barks “wang wang”.
