When I started learning Chinese, I was very confused with this exotic language. I read earlier already that this language is one of the most difficult languages in the world. I need to admit that my experience confirmed this legend. Distinguishing very similar words, not only recognizing but also learning how to write the characters caused a lot of troubles at first. I was thinking giving it up. At this point I met Xian. Time spending with her was a big pleasure. She’s an excellent teacher. Her lessons are very well prepared and constructed. I took every time a lesson consisting of 120 min.. The time passed very quickly. She was always able to keep my attention awake and thereby me motivated. I learnt not only the language but a bit of culture as well! She speaks very well English, and therefore we never had communication problems! What’s more, she’s the first person I’ve meet so far who was able to repeat very easily Hungarian words without having any accent! Small girl – Big personality! I’m looking forward to my next courses with Xian!

I would like to warmly thank Xian for teaching me the basics of Chinese language during many enjoyable hours. Xian really loves to teach and transfer her knowledge of Chinese culture to us, and she does so in many different ways, through songs teaching, story telling, etc. Thanks to Xian, I was able to find my way quite easily last month in Shanghai and Beijing, feeling confident to ask my way around, and being really happy to communicate the basics with the Chinese people around me. The Chinese I met were very happy also to be able to communicate with me! And I received a lot of compliments on my pronunciation, compliments I think should go to Xian!!
Now I am moving back to Paris so unfortunately I cannot continue my classes with Xian, but I will definitely continue to discover the Chinese culture and language!
